UAP in the European Research Act?

UAP in the European Research Act?

A new shared iniziative by European UFO researchers and organizations was completed on September 15th, 2025.

Following on its series of initiatives at E.U. level, UAP Coalition Netherlands submitted an articulated feedback to the European Research Area Act (EARA) public consultation by the European Commission, co-signed by 24 scientists, researchers, and organizations from 12 nations.

The feedback document highlights stigma as a systemic barrier to the objectives of the European Research Area Act, arguing  that such stigma discourages researchers from pursuing emerging or unconventional fields like Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), limits access to infrastructures and data, and undermines mobility, collaboration, and Europe's scientific competitiveness.
The submission proposes concrete measures for the ERA Act to strengthen scientific freedom, open science, and Europe's ability to attract talent and investment:
1. promoting open-minded scientific inquiry,
2. developing anti-stigma guidelines for funding bodies,
3. supporting exploratory research in marginalised fields,
4. fostering inclusive and interdisciplinary networks, and ensuring equitable access to EU research infrastructures.

Once again, UAP Check is not just signing the document: it was instrumental in soliciting and obtaining  the shared participation of several signers.

The text of the feedback by UAP Coalition & associates is downloadable from the European Commission website.

Here follows the list of researchers, organizations and countries who signed it.
